Please Read: Help our friend Glenn Ferguson
We're sad to be sharing this news, but hoping to help in whatever way possible. Our friend Glenn Ferguson was attacked by a disgruntled colleague of his on the morning of January 1st, 2016. The assailant stabbed him in the back of the head with a pair of scissors and later was arrested and charged with attempted murder. Glenn was rushed to the hospital where he underwent a five hour emergency surgery. As of this posting we still don't know the extent of his injuries.
Our friend Celestia Ward was able to put together this GoFundMe page to help Glenn and his family manage their medical expenses. Any support would certainly be greatly appreciated. If you can't donate, please help by sharing this link.
Glenn is a supremely talented, hard-working artist, a husband, and one of the friendliest people you could ever hope to meet. About one year ago, when we were still just getting this little caricature documentary off the ground, Glenn was one of the first artists we were able to interview. I was a little anxious going in, because aside from a few brief run-ins in the past, I had only known Glenn by his reputation as a master caricaturist - a celebrity in my eyes. All of that anxiousness washed away as soon as he opened the door and welcomed us into his home and studio. Glenn made us feel welcome, imbued us with confidence, and he hit the interview out of the park. By the time we had left, it had felt as though we had been friends for ten years or more. It's because of his warmth, kindness, and friendly spirit that we were able to make that interview session a success. And it's for the success of that interview that we found the motivation to continue on this journey.
Thank you, Glenn, for all that you've given us. Joe and I are wishing you a full and speedy recovery.
